Audiences will be taken on a journey through some of musical theatre’s most memorable shows, with performances inspired by Moulin Rouge!, Heathers, Hadestown and many more. Expect an energetic evening filled with unforgettable songs, dynamic performances and plenty of theatrical flair. 

The cabaret follows a fantastic run of recent productions from Axminster Drama Club, including Les Misérables and Hadestown, with the club now preparing for its upcoming production of It’s a Wonderful Life. 

Axminster Drama Club is a community theatre charity dedicated to creating exciting and accessible theatrical experiences for people of all ages. From large-scale musicals and established favourites to original, self-written productions, the club is involved in every aspect of bringing a show to the stage — including designing and creating its own sets, costumes and props. 

Alongside its productions, the club offers theatre-skills workshops for both adults and children. Its dedicated youth section provides young people with the opportunity to perform, develop their creativity, learn new skills and build confidence, while working together to create productions of their own. 

This October’s Youth Cabaret brings that creativity centre stage for an evening celebrating young talent, live performance and the magic of musical theatre.
