Festive favourites, family entertainment and spectacular live performances arrive at The Gateway this December
The Gateway is delighted to announce its biggest Christmas season to date, with a packed programme of festive entertainment for the whole family this December.
From musical theatre and world-class ballet to traditional pantomime and a hilariously inventive take on a Dickens classic, audiences can look forward to four fantastic festive shows.
Sleigh Miserables — Friday 11 December
The greatest musical theatre songs of all time meet the most beloved Christmas classics in the ultimate festive cabaret spectacular. Sleigh Miserables promises an unforgettable evening combining the magic of the West End with the joy of Christmas — perfect for getting audiences well and truly into the festive spirit.
Royal Ballet & Opera: The Nutcracker — Sunday 13 December
Experience a true festive family classic as The Nutcracker sparkles onto the big screen, accompanied by the wondrous swell of Tchaikovsky’s iconic orchestral score. A magical Christmas tradition filled with enchanting characters, spectacular dancing and timeless music, this Royal Ballet & Opera production is a seasonal treat for audiences of all ages.
Wonder Pantomimes: Cinderella — Saturday 19 December
Get swept away by one of the most enchanting fairy tales of all time as Hot Rock & Wonder Pantomimes brings the much-loved Cinderella to The Gateway. Packed with all the fun, laughter and festive magic audiences expect from a traditional family pantomime, Cinderella promises a spectacular Christmas outing for the whole family.
440 Theatre: A Christmas Carol — Sunday 20 December
Four Forty Theatre invites audiences into its outrageous take on Dickens’ most magical holiday ghost story. Expect inventive storytelling, plenty of laughs and a whirlwind retelling of A Christmas Carol, bringing Scrooge, the spirits of Christmas and Dickens’ timeless tale to life in unmistakable Four Forty Theatre style.
