Community

Our venue is more than a stage — it’s a gathering place where the community comes to connect, create, and celebrate local talent. We provide a welcoming home for performers of all ages, host events that bring neighbours together, and offer accessible arts experiences that enrich the cultural life of our town. From local activities to community productions and social events, the theatre serves as a vibrant hub where people can learn new skills, build confidence, and share unforgettable moments. It’s a space shaped by the community, for the community, and it thrives because of the people who walk through its doors.

A space for friendship & togetherness

By hosting a variety of community activities, our venue creates welcoming opportunities for people to connect and feel part of something meaningful. Whether through physical activities, social events, or shared creative projects, we bring individuals together in a warm, supportive space where friendships grow and loneliness eases.

CREATING OPPORTUNITIES

We continue to provide a place where opportunities come to life. We offer countless ways for people to discover new interests and develop skills.  By opening our doors to all ages and backgrounds, we help individuals find their voice, build confidence, and become part of a supportive community that celebrates every contribution.

SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITY

We continue to welcome community organisations of all kinds into our venue, creating a shared space, whether it’s hosting events, supporting projects, or offering a home for regular activities, we’re committed to being a hub that strengthens connections across Seaton. By opening our doors to charities, clubs, schools, and social groups, we help bring people together and ensure our venue serves the whole community, not just those on stage.

We continue to work with the following local organisations providing a space to allow them to continue their work:

Our Youth Impact

We give young people in Seaton a place to shine by offering volunteering opportunities that bring real theatre experience close to home. With the nearest industry hubs in Bristol, Plymouth, or London, our venue opens doors that might otherwise feel out of reach, helping local youngsters build skills, confidence, and a passion for the arts.

We’re excited to bring traditional local pantomime back to Seaton in 2027, reviving a much‑loved community tradition. As part of this journey, we’ll be hosting rehearsal groups and development sessions throughout 2026, giving performers and volunteers plenty of time to shape the show together. A key part of our plan is to welcome local young people into the process — offering them the chance to learn, participate, and experience the joy of pantomime from the inside. By preparing early and involving all ages, we aim to create a production that truly belongs to the whole community.
